What are those clips you use in the patterns?2018-05-31T16:00:38-04:00

I get this question a lot, actually!  I buy them off of Amazon and they’re great for most projects. I still need pins for certain projects but these really are a time-saver.

What kind of sewing machine do I need for these patterns?2018-05-31T15:57:18-04:00

The majority of users are using normal domestic machines to sew their carriers.

If you ask in our main pattern group you will see that we have a bit of an obsession with older vintage machines (aka “workhorses”). If you are looking to sew carriers more often, then perhaps consider this route or an industrial machine.

Here is a short video showing off my inexpensive ($100) Singer Simple machine chugging through the thickest sections on one of the more challenging patterns.

Can I sell carriers made from the patterns?2018-05-31T15:44:12-04:00

I love small business and do not require any special licensing agreements in order for items to be sold from the patterns (with one caveat).  I ask that anyone planning to sell baby carriers consult their national regulations for manufacturing and selling baby carriers (where applicable) to maintain the integrity of our DIY community and keep babies safe.
